With Christmas just being a stone’s throw away, we couldn’t let COVID-19 stop us from celebrating our ‘X-mas work do’, and so like many businesses and schools across the country, we decided to go online.
As today marks Christmas Jumper Day, we chose to wear our festive jumpers over Teams whilst in the comfort of our own homes and make a donation to Save the Children. The charity helps to make sure children can have something to eat, be healthy, learn, and most importantly have a lovely Christmas.
We also decided to add a little spice by hosting our very own festive bake-off. Most of the Educater team understood the memo as blood, sweat and tears went into baking their delicious-looking cakes, buns and cookies, however for some, the supermarket own was the next best thing!
As a team, we can all agree that it was oddly satisfying as we sat looking at each other online in our Christmas attire and picking bits off our treats, laughing and joking about our random experiences and very much like Rafiki and Simba from The Lion King, showing off our pets and one very cute little baby. It’s just what we needed as we come near to the end of a very odd 2020.
